About the role

Key responsibilities

• •Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the kitchen at all times
• •Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently
• •Keep the dishwashing and pot wash areas clean, tidy and well organised
• •Assist the chefs with basic food preparation as required, such as washing, peeling and prepping ingredients
• •Help with receiving, checking and storing deliveries safely and correctly
• •Rotate stock following first in, first out to minimise waste and maintain freshness
• •Follow all cleaning schedules and hygiene procedures
• •Dispose of rubbish and recycling in line with kitchen procedures and safety guidelines
• •Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
• •Follow all health and safety and food hygiene standards, including correct use of cleaning chemicals and equipment

What we're looking for

• •A strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude
• •Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• •A good team player who communicates well with chefs and colleagues
• •Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions
• •Comfortable with manual work, including standing for long periods and lifting
• •Willingness to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• •Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
• •No previous experience necessary, full training will be provided
